Mindfulness for Everyday Life: A Satipatthana Sutta Retreat

Step away from the hustle and bustle and join us for a half-day retreat at URU Yoga by the Airport, hosted by Gulf Coast Dharma and led by Justin Otto on September 7th, starting at 1:00 PM and ending at 5:30 PM.
This retreat is a chance to ground yourself in the Buddha’s teachings on mindfulness in a supportive and friendly setting.

Guided by the Satipatthana Sutta, we’ll focus on the first two foundations of mindfulness: the body and feelings (vedana). We’ll explore practices related to mindfulness of the breath and body, as well as the observation of the hedonic tone of experiences. The retreat includes a mix of instructional talks, periods of sitting and walking meditation, and interactive relational exercises, all designed to help you integrate mindfulness into your daily life.

Whether you’re new to mindfulness or looking to deepen your practice, this retreat has something for everyone. The retreat is offered on a sliding scale of $40-$100. Your generous contribution, at any level that suits you, helps ensure this retreat is accessible to everyone and supports its availability to as many people as possible.
